Job Summary
The Facility Management Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of HVAC and chilled water systems across commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, and mixed\-use facilities. The role ensures the efficient operation of mechanical assets, minimizes equipment downtime, and maintains compliance with client requirements, manufacturer recommendations, and Qatar safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, chillers, chilled water networks, AHUs, FCUs, package units, VRF/VRV systems, ventilation systems, and exhaust systems.
* Prepare and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans.
* Monitor the performance and efficiency of water\-cooled and air\-cooled chillers.
* Troubleshoot mechanical faults and identify root causes of equipment failures.
* Coordinate emergency breakdown maintenance and ensure timely restoration of services.
* Supervise Mechanical Supervisors, HVAC Technicians, Chiller Technicians, and subcontractors.
* Review maintenance schedules through CMMS and ensure timely completion of work orders.
* Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy\-saving initiatives.
* Conduct periodic inspections of HVAC equipment and mechanical systems.
* Prepare technical reports, maintenance reports, KPI reports, and monthly performance summaries.
* Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and OEM service providers.
* Ensure adequate inventory of critical spare parts and maintenance materials.
* Verify contractor performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
* Participate in facility audits, snagging, and handover inspections.
* Ensure all mechanical works comply with Qatar Civil Defence requirements and local regulations.
* Support project mobilization, refurbishment, and asset replacement activities.
* Develop annual maintenance budgets and monitor operational costs.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* MMUP/UPDA registration is preferred.
* Minimum 3\-4 **years** of experience in Mechanical Facility Management.
* Minimum **5 years of GCC/Qatar experience**.
Pay: QAR5,500\.00 \- QAR6,000\.00 per month
