Floral Supply Chain Manager

About the Role The Floral Village is seeking an experienced Floral Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize the company’s end\-to\-end floral supply chain operations. This senior management position will be responsible for overseeing the complete flow of floral products and related materials—from sourcing and supplier management through procurement, inbound logistics, inventory management, storage, distribution, and final fulfillment. The successful candidate will combine strong supply chain expertise with an understanding of the unique operational requirements of the floral industry, where product freshness, quality, timing, demand fluctuations, and inventory efficiency are critical to business performance. The role will work closely with procurement, sales, floral operations, warehouse, logistics, and management teams to ensure the right products are available at the right time, in the right condition, and at an appropriate cost. Key Responsibilities * Develop and manage the company’s end\-to\-end floral supply chain strategy. * Lead sourcing, procurement, purchasing, and supplier relationship management activities. * Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and maintain strategic relationships with local and international suppliers. * Plan floral purchasing according to seasonal demand, sales forecasts, promotions, holidays, and business requirements. * Establish effective demand forecasting and replenishment processes to minimize shortages and excess inventory. * Oversee inventory levels, stock rotation, product availability, and inventory accuracy. * Develop processes to minimize floral waste, spoilage, shrinkage, and unnecessary carrying costs. * Coordinate inbound transportation, receiving, storage, distribution, and delivery activities. * Ensure proper handling and storage practices are maintained to protect floral quality and freshness. * Monitor supplier performance, lead times, delivery reliability, product quality, and purchasing costs. * Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs and regularly report performance to senior management. * Identify operational bottlenecks and implement continuous\-improvement initiatives. * Develop contingency plans to address supply disruptions, seasonal shortages, transportation issues, and supplier risks. * Collaborate with finance to manage purchasing budgets, landed costs, margins, and supply chain expenditure. * Lead, develop, and manage supply chain, purchasing, warehouse, and logistics personnel as applicable. * Ensure supply chain processes comply with company policies, quality standards, and applicable Kuwait regulations. * Use ERP, inventory management, procurement, and analytical systems to support data\-driven decision\-making. * Provide senior management with strategic recommendations regarding sourcing, inventory, logistics, suppliers, and operational efficiency. QualificationsRequired * Bachelor’s degree in **Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management**, or a related discipline. * **7\+ years of progressive experience** in supply chain, procurement, logistics, inventory, or operations management, with significant experience at a managerial or senior\-management level. * Demonstrated experience managing **end\-to\-end supply chain operations**. * Strong background in procurement, supplier negotiations, inventory planning, logistics, warehousing, and distribution. * Proven ability to develop demand forecasts and inventory strategies in a fast\-moving or seasonal business environment. * Strong commercial and financial understanding, including purchasing costs, budgets, margins, and cost\-control initiatives. * Demonstrated experience leading teams and coordinating cross\-functional operations. * Strong analytical, problem\-solving, negotiation, and decision\-making skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and supply chain, ERP, procurement, or inventory management systems. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under time\-sensitive conditions. Preferred * Previous experience in the **floral, horticulture, fresh produce, retail, e\-commerce, hospitality, or other perishable\-goods industries**. * Experience managing international sourcing and overseas suppliers. * Knowledge of floral products, flower varieties, seasonal availability, freshness requirements, cold\-chain practices, and perishability. * Experience implementing inventory optimization, waste\-reduction, or supply chain cost\-reduction programs. * Professional certification such as **ASCM/APICS CSCP, CPIM, or CLTD** is an advantage. * Experience working with supply chain KPIs, dashboards, forecasting tools, and business analytics. * Previous experience managing supply chain operations within the **Kuwait/GCC market** is advantageous.
