Financial Accountant Specialist

As Lendo continues to grow, we're looking for a Financial Accountant to join our expanding Finance team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations while supporting payroll, banking relationships, tax compliance and month\-end reporting. Working closely with senior Finance leaders, you'll gain exposure to commercial finance and business partnering, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop into a broader finance role within a fast\-growing fintech. ### **Key Responsibilities:** **Financial Accounting** * Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules. * Assist with month\-end and year\-end close activities. * Maintain General Ledger accuracy and financial records. * Support audit requests and financial reporting requirements. **Payroll** * Process monthly payroll accurately and confidentially. * Prepare payroll reconciliations. * Coordinate payroll inputs with HR. * Resolve payroll\-related queries. **Banking \& Treasury** * Manage day\-to\-day relationships with multiple banking partners. * Follow up proactively on banking requests and documentation. * Coordinate account openings, amendments and banking documentation. * Monitor banking transactions and support treasury activities. **Tax \& Compliance** * Prepare VAT returns. * Prepare withholding tax filings. * Maintain supporting documentation for regulatory compliance. * Assist with statutory reporting requirements. **Business Partnering** * Support senior Finance leaders with financial analysis. * Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities. * Prepare management reports. * Develop commercial understanding of the business to become a future Finance Business Partner. ### **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. * 2–5 years of experience in a Financial Accountant or similar accounting role. * Experience processing payroll and maintaining strict confidentiality when handling employee information. * Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns, with exposure to withholding tax filings being advantageous. * Experience managing relationships with banks and external stakeholders, with the confidence to proactively follow up and resolve issues. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally. * Highly organised with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. * High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential financial and payroll information. * Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken). * Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. * High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
