Job description

We are working with a world class organisation who are seeking a Finance Officer to join their leading finance team. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, efficient and compliant financial operations. Working closely with the Finance Manager and central finance teams, the role oversees day-to-day accounting activities, maintains financial records, supports budgeting and reporting, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides financial support to internal and external stakeholders. • Manage the day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial processing. • Oversee supplier payments, banking transactions, reconciliations, and cash management while maintaining strong financial controls. • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and audit preparation. • Prepare financial reports, monitor budgets, analyse variances, and provide insights to support business decision-making. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax requirements. • Process purchase orders, manage intercompany transactions, and maintain accurate financial records within ERP and CRM systems. • Act as the primary point of contact for finance-related queries, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support the wider finance function as required. To be suitable for this role you must be: • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reporting. • Good understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax requirements. • Experience using ERP systems and CRM platforms to support finance processes. • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. • 5 years + of accounting experience • Have worked in the education industry • Available to start in 1 month Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
