Finance Manager

Job Title: Finance Manager Company: Abu Hayan National Establishment Location: Al Mawaleh South, Muscat, Oman Job Type: Full\-time, on\-site About Us Abu Hayan National is a growing construction and contracting company in Muscat, delivering residential and commercial building projects. With several active projects and a growing portfolio, we are looking for a hands\-on Finance Manager to lead our finance function and support the company's next stage of growth. Role Summary The Finance Manager will own the company's day\-to\-day accounting and financial management: project cost tracking, invoicing, cash flow, budgeting, and reporting to the CEO. This is a practical, hands\-on role in a small and fast\-moving team — you will manage the numbers directly, supervise the accounting staff, and give management a clear financial picture at all times. Key Responsibilities Manage the full accounting cycle: bookkeeping oversight, month\-end closing, and financial statements. Track project costs against approved budgets and prepare project profitability reports (cost\-plus contracts, advances, and retentions). Prepare client invoices and payment applications, and follow up on collections. Manage cash flow planning, supplier payments, and bank relationships. Prepare the annual budget and monthly budget\-vs\-actual reports for management. Handle VAT filing and ensure compliance with Oman tax and Social Protection (PASI) requirements. Supervise and develop the accounting team, and improve financial processes and controls on our ERP system (Odoo). Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional qualification such as CMA/ACCA/CPA is a plus). 5\+ years of accounting experience, including 2\+ years in construction or contracting companies (Oman/GCC experience preferred). Solid understanding of project accounting: cost tracking, WIP, retentions, advances, and subcontractor payments. Experience with Odoo or a similar ERP system is a strong advantage. Strong Excel skills and the ability to build clear management reports. Knowledge of Oman VAT, tax, and labour/social protection regulations. Good command of English; Arabic is a strong plus.
