Estimation Engineer

The Estimator is responsible for analysing construction drawings, preparing accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ), sourcing vendor quotations, and compiling competitive tender packages. Oversee Site Execution & Supervision of civil and structural works on-site, including excavation, shuttering, steel reinforcement, and concrete pouring. Review approved shop drawings and ensure field execution perfectly matches design dimensions and levels. Manage on-site labour productivity, assign daily tasks to foremen, and enforce strict safety standards (HSE protocols) Estimation & Quantity Take-off. • Analyse structural & architectural drawings and project specifications for villas, commercial warehouses, and concrete repair works. Perform detailed material take-offs for earthworks, substructure, superstructure, MEP, finishes, steel framing, and specialized structural repairs. Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BoQ) in compliance with standard methods of measurement. Tendering & Sourcing • Float inquiries to subcontractors and material suppliers for specialized services (e.g., steel fabrication, waterproofing, post-tensioning). Conduct technical and commercial evaluation of received vendor quotes to ensure zero scope gaps. Build rate analysis models factoring in raw material costs, direct labour productivity, equipment rentals, and local transport. Post-Tender & Value Engineering • Propose value engineering alternatives to reduce project costs without compromising structural integrity or local authority codes. Assist the estimation manager in preparing final tender submissions, commercial risk registers, and cash flow projections. Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits to assess physical constraints, soil conditions, and logistics challenges.
