Equipment Erection Engineer – Mechanical (BESS)

• Supervise the erection and installation of BESS containers, battery racks, PCS (Power Conversion System), transformers, HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, cable trays, and associated mechanical equipment. • Review mechanical drawings, layout drawings, erection procedures, and vendor documentation before execution. • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution. • Ensure equipment installation complies with project specifications, approved drawings, and OEM recommendations. • Verify foundation readiness before equipment installation. • Monitor alignment, leveling, grouting, torque tightening, and equipment positioning. • Supervise heavy lifting activities involving cranes, trailers, and rigging equipment. • Coordinate with vendors during equipment installation and testing. • Maintain daily progress reports and installation records. • Participate in inspection requests (IRs), quality inspections, and punch-point clearance. • Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, method statements, and ITPs. • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. • Coordinate material availability and site logistics. • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with HSE policies and permit-to-work requirements. • 5–12 years of experience in mechanical erection and construction. • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in BESS, Solar PV, Substation, Power Plant, or Renewable Energy projects. • Experience with utility-scale EPC projects is preferred. • GCC/Middle East project experience is an advantage.
