Job description

• Architect and design scalable, resilient, and secure mobile applications that seamlessly integrate with unified commerce platforms, ensuring a cohesive customer experience across all touchpoints. • Define the technical vision and roadmap for mobile commerce solutions, aligning with business objectives and emerging technology trends to drive innovation. • Lead the selection and integration of third-party mobile commerce technologies, APIs, and SDKs, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance within the enterprise ecosystem. • Establish and enforce architectural principles, patterns, and best practices for mobile app development, focusing on reusability, maintainability, and extensibility. • Essential • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred). • 10+ years in IT, with 5+ years as a Solution or Enterprise Architect on large-scale, consumer-facing digital platforms. • Proven track record architecting mobile apps (native iOS/Android and/or Flutter/React Native) at consumer scale and high traffic. • Deep expertise in API-led and microservices architecture and event-driven integration; hands-on with an iPaaS / API management platform (Azure API Management, MuleSoft, or similar), REST/GraphQL, and messaging/streaming (Kafka / Azure Event Hubs). • Experience architecting unified / omnichannel commerce, e-commerce, or marketplace platforms, including cart, checkout, payments, and order orchestration. • Strong identity and access management background (OAuth2/OIDC, SSO, CIAM). • Experience integrating POS / inventory, ticketing, and/or F&B systems — ideally in attractions, hospitality, retail, or travel. • Cloud-native architecture, preferably on Microsoft Azure, with DevSecOps practices. • Real-time and streaming data architecture, and a strong grasp of security and data privacy (UAE PDPL, GDPR, PCI-DSS). • Architecture modelling and documentation (TOGAF / ArchiMate / C4). Desirable • Biometric / facial-recognition identity experience (e.g. FacePass-style solutions). • Awareness of computer-vision / CCTV analytics for operational use cases. • Theme-park, attractions, or large-venue experience. • TOGAF, Azure Solution Architect Expert, or equivalent certifications. • Vendor management and RFP / procurement experience. • Arabic language skills. Core Competencies • Strong stakeholder and vendor management, with the ability to influence senior leadership. • Clear technical communication and high-quality documentation. • Pragmatic and delivery-focused, comfortable with ambiguity and legacy constraints. • Systems thinker able to balance guest experience, commercial goals, and technical feasibility. Key Stakeholders & Interfaces • Digital & Technology leadership (Digital Platform Director; VP, Digital & Technology). • Mobile app product, delivery, and PMO teams. • Enterprise system owners: Ticketing, Retail, F&B, Guest Experience, Marketing, and Security / CCTV. • External vendors and system integrators across the systems in scope.
