**Date:** Jul 23, 2026 **Location:** Saudi Arabia **\#job\-location.job\-location\-inline { display:** inline; } **Company:** King Abdullah University of Science \& Technology Job Purpose Engineering Manager will provide engineering services such as technical support, studies, and engineering solutions. Also supervise the activities engaged in project engineering or development services programs and the implementation of the engineering project management work for major capital projects and facility upgrades; and/or supervise staff performing support and maintenance of engineering records or development\-related services. Major Accountabilities Manages the engineering process to develop, the project conceptual scope of work, accurate cost estimates consistent with the scope of work, energy savings estimates based on documented calculations. Design reviews and providing technical comments on all related discipline for upcoming and ongoing projects. Providing technical support to the business development, estimating and onsite engineering teams. Develop planning and priorities processes to ensure that multi\-disciplinary resource is well aligned to maximize delivery of projects Report on engineering activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators. Manages responsibility for developing and implementing the measurement and verification plan for each assigned project, and working with the KAUST Stakeholders to assure the obligations are being met and tracked appropriately Coordinate and Manage Third party design consultant for all outsourced engineering and designing related work. Provides the best possible and optimized solution that will result in the lowest cost for KAUST. Processing, tracking, and maintaining accurate record of project related documentation in coordination with both internal and outsourced third party consultant team members. Coordinate with design consultants, project team, and KAUST stakeholders to set up deliverables requirements for engineering works. Establish quality and reliability standards by studying industry benchmarks and the requirements of customers and research/design and development, and define the metrics required to assess performance against standards required Developing and Enhancing KAUST Engineering standards to deliver safe, value driven, sustainable project. Apply problem solving skills to resolve technical problems and initiate solution techniques. Manages, directs and coordinates activities of engineering team to ensure projects progress on schedule. Remove technical barriers/obstacles that prevent team members from progressive continuous improvement activities. Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues and procedures as appropriate. Develop and manage cost estimations for the required projects Participate in the improvement of PDE\&C’s Procedures. Follow’s KAUST’s procedures. Builds trusting relationships with stakeholders and peers based on transparency, ownership and by placing the customer at the core of all work. Person Requirements Competencies Extensive knowledge of Engineering Codes and Standards Extensive knowledge and familiarity with Engineering and design process Demonstrates capabilities and experience in providing Engineering support for universities or similar project. Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Fluent in written and spoken English. Customer centric Problem solving Strong organizational skills Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Experience 6\+ years Engineering Design Industry or related field.
