**Job** **Title** Engineer, Environment III **Job Purpose** To support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of environmental management programs across operations. The role ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and Maaden standards by conducting environmental inspections, monitoring air, water, waste, emissions and related controls, supporting incident investigations, maintaining environmental records, and preparing performance reports that help reduce environmental risk and improve site performance. **Key Accountabilities** **1\. Environmental Compliance \& Monitoring** • Conduct routine environmental inspections and monitoring for air, water, waste, emissions and other assigned environmental parameters. • Verify compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, permits, internal standards and site environmental procedures. • Maintain monitoring records and support timely environmental reporting and documentation. **2\. Environmental Risk Control \& Incident Support** • Identify environmental risks, non\-compliances and improvement opportunities during field inspections and operational reviews. • Support environmental incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action follow\-up. • Assist operations and maintenance teams in implementing practical controls to prevent recurrence. **3\. Audits, Inspections \& Compliance Readiness** • Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections and management system reviews. • Track findings, evidence and corrective action closure in line with Maaden documentation requirements. • Support readiness for external audits and regulatory engagements. **4\. Environmental Management System \& Continuous Improvement** • Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 or equivalent environmental management system requirements. • Contribute to pollution prevention, resource conservation, waste reduction and sustainability initiatives. • Recommend improvements to environmental processes, work practices and reporting tools. **5\. Training, Awareness \& Stakeholder Coordination** • Support delivery of toolbox talks, awareness campaigns and environmental guidance for employees and contractors. • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, contractors and EHSS teams to promote environmental responsibility. • Provide technical input for projects, change management reviews and environmental assessments. **6\. Data Management \& Reporting** • Collect, validate and analyze environmental performance data and trends. • Prepare routine environmental reports, dashboards and presentations for management review. • Ensure environmental information is accurate, complete and available for decision\-making. **Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies** **Minimum Qualifications:** • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. • Experience: 3–5 years of environmental compliance, environmental monitoring or HSE experience in mining, industrial, manufacturing or high\-risk operational environments. • Certifications: ISO 14001 awareness or internal auditor certification, NEBOSH Environmental, OSHA or equivalent is preferred. • Knowledge: Familiarity with environmental regulations, permitting requirements, waste management, emissions control, sampling, inspections and environmental management systems. **Maaden High\-Performance Competencies:** • Environmental Compliance \& Integrity • Risk Awareness and Control Mindset • Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement • Communication and Reporting Quality • Accountability, Continuous Improvement and Attention to Detail **Skills:** • Strong field inspection, observation and documentation skills. • Ability to use environmental monitoring tools and maintain accurate records. • Good report writing, data analysis and presentation skills, including Excel and dashboard inputs. • Ability to work effectively with cross\-functional teams, contractors and site leadership. • High attention to detail, prioritization skills and commitment to environmental protection.
