Employee Relations Specialist Job Purpose: Responsible for maintaining positive employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies, resolving workplace concerns, and supporting management in handling disciplinary and employee welfare matters. The role requires strong judgment, leadership, confidentiality, and the ability to respond effectively to unexpected employee situations. Key Responsibilities: \* Manage employee grievances, complaints, workplace conflicts, and disputes, ensuring timely, fair, and confidential resolution. \* Conduct employee accommodation and workplace visits to assess employee welfare, living conditions, concerns, and compliance with company standards. \* Lead and document employee investigations, including interviews, evidence gathering, incident analysis, findings, and recommendations. \* Maintain and consistently apply the company disciplinary matrix, ensuring disciplinary actions are fair, proportionate, properly approved, and documented. \* Handle misconduct, absenteeism, behavioral concerns, policy violations, interpersonal conflicts, and other ER cases from initial reporting through closure. \* Provide practical guidance to managers and department heads on employee relations matters, disciplinary procedures, conflict management, and corrective actions. \* Demonstrate leadership and sound judgment when managing sensitive or escalated employee situations. \* Apply spontaneous and solution\-oriented thinking to unexpected workplace situations while maintaining professionalism and policy compliance. \* Prepare and maintain accurate incident reports, investigation reports, warning letters, employee statements, case records, and supporting documentation. \* Maintain an organized ER case tracker and provide periodic reports on grievances, disciplinary cases, recurring issues, trends, and case resolution. \* Identify recurring employee concerns and recommend preventive or corrective initiatives to improve employee engagement, workplace discipline, and overall employee relations. \* Maintain strict confidentiality and professional integrity when handling sensitive employee information. Requirements: \* Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. \* Relevant experience in Employee Relations/HR, preferably within F\&B, hospitality, retail, or other high\-volume workforce environments. \* Strong knowledge of employee investigations, grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution, and HR documentation. \* Excellent communication, mediation, problem\-solving, leadership, and decision\-making skills. \* Ability to remain calm, objective, assertive, and responsive when handling difficult or spontaneous employee situations. \* Knowledge of applicable labor laws and HR best practices.
