Job description

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and back-of-house facilities. Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform timely repairs to minimize disruption to hotel operations. Ensure all electrical work complies with local safety codes, hotel standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on lighting, wiring, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and housekeeping teams to address electrical issues efficiently. Respond promptly to emergency electrical situations to ensure guest safety and comfort. Maintain detailed records of electrical work, maintenance schedules, and compliance checks. Assist in installation and testing of new electrical systems or upgrades during renovations or expansions. Support energy-saving initiatives by maintaining efficient electrical systems and recommending improvements. Ensure proper functioning of safety systems such as emergency lighting, fire alarms, and security systems. • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in electrical work preferred • Valid electrician s license or certification as required by local regulations • Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair, preferably in hospitality or commercial environments • Strong knowledge of hotel electrical systems, including lighting, HVAC controls, fire alarms, and security systems • Familiarity with local electrical codes, safety standards, and compliance requirements • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills specific to hotel operations • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends, to minimize guest disruption • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with other hotel departments • Physical ability to handle tools, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed
