Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, supervising, and executing electrical works for MEP projects in accordance with project specifications, local regulations, and quality standards. The role involves managing site activities, coordinating with consultants and subcontractors, ensuring timely project completion, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** * Supervise and manage electrical installation works at project sites. * Review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents before execution. * Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, and other project stakeholders. * Prepare shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation. * Ensure all electrical works comply with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), IEC standards, and project requirements. * Monitor project progress and ensure completion within the approved schedule and budget. * Coordinate inspections with consultants and obtain necessary approvals. * Attend project coordination and progress meetings. * Review and verify quantities for procurement and installation. * Coordinate material delivery and ensure availability of approved materials. * Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project specifications. * Prepare progress reports and update project management on site activities. * Resolve technical issues arising during project execution. * Ensure strict compliance with company HSE policies and procedures. * Assist during testing, commissioning, and project handover. * Support the preparation of as\-built drawings and final project documentation. **Qualifications and Requirement:** * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. * Minimum **5 years** of experience as an Electrical Engineer in MEP contracting projects. * Professional engineering registration is an advantage. * UPDA/MMUP Engineering Registration is preferred. * Valid Qatar Driving License is an advantage. * Experience in commercial, residential, high\-rise, hospitality, healthcare, or industrial projects is preferred. * Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical systems is an advantage. * Strong knowledge of: * LV Electrical Systems * Lighting and Power Systems * Fire Alarm Systems * Emergency Lighting Systems * Earthing and Lightning Protection Systems * ELV Systems coordination * Electrical Load Calculations * Cable Sizing and Voltage Drop Calculations * Single Line Diagrams (SLD) * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. * Familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), IEC, and local authority requirements. * Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. * Knowledge of Revit MEP and BIM is an advantage. * Familiarity with project planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is preferred.
