Electrical Engineer ( Oil and Gas Project)

**Job Description – Electrical Engineer (Oil \& Gas Project)** **Position:** Electrical Engineer **Location:** Qatar **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced **Electrical Engineer** to join our Oil \& Gas project team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design review, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance support of electrical systems for EPIC and major Oil \& Gas projects. The role requires close coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with client specifications and industry standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Review and coordinate electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. * Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. * Review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents. * Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams. * Monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems. * Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and commissioning activities. * Ensure all electrical work complies with HSE regulations and quality standards. * Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives on technical matters. * Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and project documentation. * Support project handover and close\-out activities. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in **Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering**, or an equivalent discipline. * Minimum **7–10 years of experience** in the Oil \& Gas industry. * Proven experience in electrical systems, installation, testing, and commissioning. * Experience working on **EPIC** or major Oil \& Gas projects is preferred. * Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power distribution systems, motors, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems. * Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable client specifications. * Excellent communication, problem\-solving, and organizational skills.
