Electrical Engineer – MEP and Design

• Design and review electrical systems for MEP projects including power distribution, lighting, ELV, and earthing systems. • Prepare electrical load calculations , voltage drop calculations, and cable sizing. • Develop and review shop drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings . • Prepare detailed electrical drawings including, Power distribution layouts, Cable routing and tray layouts, Earthing and lightning protection drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Panel board layouts and schematics. • Develop and modify 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD and BIM platforms . • Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks . • Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and civil teams to ensure integrated project delivery. • Supervise on-site electrical installations and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications. • Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC) and international standards. • Review material submittals, technical datasheets, and method statements. • Support project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring. • Attend client meetings, technical discussions, and coordination meetings. • Strong knowledge of: • Power Distribution Systems (LV/MV) • Lighting Design and Controls • ELV Systems (Fire Alarm, CCTV, Data, Access Control) • Earthing and Lightning Protection Systems • Proficiency in: • AutoCAD (mandatory) • Revit MEP (preferred) • MS Office tools • Ability to interpret: • Single Line Diagrams (SLD) • Electrical Schematics and Layout Drawings • Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, BS, and local authority regulations (DEWA/SEWA/ADDC).
