Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities System Design: Draw clear layouts for power lines, lighting, and distribution panels using CAD software. Create plans for power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and security using CAD software. Load Calculations: Figure out how much power the building needs now and in the future. Compute load requirements, wire sizing, and circuit protection specs. Code Compliance: Make sure all plans match national and local electrical safety codes. Monitor construction work to verify compliance with safety codes and blueprints. Teamwork: Work closely with architects, project managers, and builders on the job site. Cost Estimates: Estimate material and labor costs while keeping purchases on track. Test and Commission: Supervise final testing of circuits and equipment before project handover. Required Skills Experience: 10\+ years in similar role. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of power flow, wiring, and voltage. Software Skills: Expert use of CAD , REVIT MEP \& execution through BIM. Problem Solving: Ability to fix design flaws and answer questions during building. Communication: Clear speaking and writing skills to explain plans to workers. Licensing: Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license or local certification where required. Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and other specialized electrical design tools. Knowledge: Deep understanding of local building codes, National Electrical Code in Oman, and safety standards.
