The Director of Spa \& Wellness provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all Spa \& Wellness operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, commercial success, innovation, and service excellence. This role is responsible for developing a world\-class wellness destination, leading a high\-performing team, driving financial performance, curating signature wellness experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality while fostering meaningful relationships with guests, associates, and wellness partners. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide strategic leadership for all Spa \& Wellness operations, ensuring alignment with Rosewood brand standards and the vision of Rosewood AMAALA. * Develop and execute the Spa \& Wellness business strategy, annual operating plan, budgets, and long\-term commercial objectives. * Curate innovative wellness experiences, treatments, retreats, and holistic programming that differentiate the resort within the ultra\-luxury market. * Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through personalized wellness journeys and intuitive luxury service. * Curate Spa and Wellness experience for every guest creating lifelong memories and impactful wellness. * Lead, inspire, coach, and develop a diverse team of spa, wellness, fitness, recreation, and wellness practitioners. * Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and genuine hospitality throughout the department. * Drive revenue growth through strategic pricing, retail optimization, memberships, wellness packages, and destination experiences. * Monitor financial performance, controlling labor, operating expenses, and profitability while maximizing revenue opportunities. * Ensure all Spa \& Wellness facilities are maintained to the highest standards of luxury, hygiene, safety, and operational excellence. * Oversee treatment quality, wellness programming, fitness operations, hydrotherapy facilities, and guest wellness experiences. * Develop and maintain partnerships with leading wellness brands, practitioners, therapists, and industry experts. * Collaborate closely with Rooms, Food \& Beverage, Residences, Culinary, Engineering, Retail, and Marketing to create integrated luxury wellness experiences. * Ensure compliance with local health regulations, licensing requirements, safety procedures, and company policies. * Champion sustainability initiatives and environmentally responsible wellness practices aligned with Rosewood AMAALA's vision. * Monitor guest feedback, online reputation, Forbes Travel Guide standards, and LQA requirements, implementing continuous improvements. * Lead recruitment, succession planning, performance management, and talent development for the Spa \& Wellness division. * Stay informed of emerging global wellness trends, technologies, treatments, and luxury hospitality innovations to continuously elevate the guest experience. **Qualifications and Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Wellness Management, Business Administration, or a related field. * Professional certifications in Spa Management, Wellness Leadership, or related disciplines are preferred. * Minimum 8–10 years of progressive luxury spa and wellness leadership experience, including at least 4 years in a Director or senior management role. * Proven experience within internationally recognized luxury hotels, resorts, destination spas, or wellness retreats. * Strong understanding of Forbes Travel Guide, LQA, and luxury hospitality service standards. * Passion for holistic wellness, innovation, sustainability, and delivering transformational guest experiences. * Ability to thrive in a fast\-paced, pre\-opening luxury environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. ### **About Us** Surrounded by the world’s fourth\-largest barrier reef system and the scenic Hijazi mountains, Rosewood Amaala will bring an ultra\-luxury regenerative escape to The Red Sea region of Saudi Arabia. The resort will be part of the Red Sea Global’s Amaala destination, an integrated wellness haven spanning 4,155km2 and set in the Prince Mohammad bin Salman Nature Reserve. Rosewood Amaala will explore what it truly means to be regenerative, with unique experiences that weave together wellness and sustainability. The resort will focus on the well\-being of its guests, the community and the native flora and fauna – all while recognizing the integral connection between the three.
