**Director of Interior Design – Engineering Projects** **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Employment Type:** Permanent **About the Role** We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Interior Design to lead and oversee all interior design activities across major engineering and fit\-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving design excellence, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, managing multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high\-quality interior environments from concept development through project execution. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead and manage all interior design works within the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational vision, project objectives, and end\-user requirements. * Oversee the preparation, development, and review of interior design deliverables through all project stages, including Concept Design, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, and IFC documentation. * Ensure compliance with approved design standards, fit\-out guidelines, quality requirements, and best international practices. * Coordinate closely with Architectural, MEP, Smart Systems, and other engineering disciplines to achieve seamless design integration. * Review, evaluate, and approve materials, finishes, and specifications to ensure quality, functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic excellence. * Oversee the preparation of design presentations, mood boards, renderings, and visual concepts for stakeholder review and approval. * Participate in technical evaluations, tender reviews, and assessments of contractors, consultants, and suppliers for interior design works. * Monitor site execution activities and ensure all interior works are delivered in accordance with approved designs and specifications. * Lead, develop, and mentor interior design teams, ensuring high\-quality outputs are delivered within established timelines. * Coordinate with government entities, clients, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to secure approvals and ensure successful project delivery. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture engineering from an accredited university. * Master’s degree in interior design or a related discipline is preferred. * Minimum 12–15 years of professional experience in Interior Design, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. * Demonstrated experience managing prestigious fit\-out projects, including government offices, public buildings, or high\-profile developments. * Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders. * Strong understanding of Design \& Build and PMC project environments. * Hands\-on experience reviewing materials, finishes, and vendor proposals while ensuring compliance with project requirements. * Professional certifications such as LEED AP, WELL Accreditation, PMP, or equivalent are considered an advantage. **Skills \& Competencies** * Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities. * Advanced knowledge of interior design principles, fit\-out standards, materials, finishes, and construction methodologies. * Strong design review, quality assurance, and technical decision\-making skills. * Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation abilities. * Proficiency in industry\-standard design software including AutoCAD, Revit, 3Ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent platforms. * Strong problem\-solving skills with the ability to provide effective technical and design solutions. * Ability to manage multiple complex projects and prioritize deadlines effectively. * Excellent command of English; Arabic language proficiency is considered an advantage. **READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?** If you are a dynamic design leader with a passion for delivering exceptional interior environments and driving design excellence across complex engineering projects, we would love to hear from you.
