About the Role The **Director of Finance** serves as the property’s strategic financial business leader and a key advisor to the General Manager and ownership group. Responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions, this role ensures the hotel delivers strong financial performance while supporting the brand’s commitment to exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities * Lead the development and execution of the hotel’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with property, ownership, and brand objectives. * Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and business analysis to maximise profitability and return on investment. * Provide strategic guidance to the General Manager and Executive Committee on financial opportunities, risks, and performance trends. * Oversee all accounting, reporting, audit, compliance, tax, and control processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and integrity. * Manage working capital, cash flow, and financial resources in line with owner expectations and Marriott standards. * Identify and implement cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining the luxury service standards expected of The Ritz\-Carlton. * Develop, mentor, and inspire a high\-performing finance team through coaching, succession planning, and professional development. * Build trusted relationships with ownership representatives, corporate stakeholders, and operational leaders to support informed decision\-making and long\-term growth.
