Director of Finance - Hospitality

Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced **Director of Finance** to lead and oversee the finance function across a portfolio of hospitality properties in Bahrain. The role will be responsible for financial strategy, reporting, controls, budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performance across multiple properties. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in **hotel/hospitality finance**, excellent leadership capabilities, and a proven track record managing finance operations across multiple properties or a complex hotel environment. Key Responsibilities * Lead and oversee the finance function across multiple hotel properties. * Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives. * Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the properties. * Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis. * Monitor property performance, revenue, costs, profitability, and key financial KPIs. * Ensure strong financial controls, accounting policies, and compliance with applicable regulations. * Manage cash flow, working capital, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting functions. * Review and analyze financial statements and provide strategic recommendations to senior management. * Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing reforecasting activities. * Ensure accurate and timely month\-end and year\-end closing procedures. * Work closely with General Managers and operational leadership to improve financial performance and cost efficiency. * Establish and maintain effective internal controls and risk management procedures. * Oversee external and internal audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. * Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders. * Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across the properties. * Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulatory requirements. * Provide senior management with financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. * Professional qualification such as **ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent** is highly preferred. * **10\+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience**, preferably within the hospitality industry. * Previous experience in a **Director of Finance / Financial Controller / Complex Finance** role within hotels or a multi\-property environment. * Strong knowledge of hotel finance, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control. * Experience managing and developing finance teams. * Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial compliance. * Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and decision\-making skills. * Proficiency in financial and hotel management systems. * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. * Experience working in Bahrain or the GCC hospitality sector is an advantage.
