Director of Construction – Engineering Projects \- Arabic Speakers **Location:** Qatar **Employment Type:** Full\-time About the Role We are seeking an experienced **Director of Construction – Engineering Projects** to provide senior leadership across construction activities, site execution, contractors, consultants, quality, safety, schedules, variations, claims, and project handover. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient construction delivery across multiple sites while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, cost, schedule, and contractual compliance. Key Responsibilities * Direct and oversee construction activities across multiple engineering projects/sites. * Lead site execution from mobilization through completion and final handover. * Manage and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams. * Monitor project schedules, progress, resources, costs, and key milestones. * Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements. * Oversee **Fit\-Out, Design \& Build, and MEP\-related construction activities**. * Lead construction planning, sequencing, coordination, and execution strategies. * Review and manage variations, claims, contractual issues, and potential disputes. * Ensure effective implementation of HSE policies and site safety requirements. * Monitor quality assurance and quality control across construction activities. * Lead construction progress meetings and provide regular reports to senior management. * Identify construction risks, delays, and performance issues and implement corrective actions. * Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, completion, and final handover. * Drive continuous improvement in construction processes, productivity, and project delivery. * Manage multiple project teams and ensure consistent construction standards across sites. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in **Engineering or a related field**. * **15–18 years of relevant construction experience**. * Minimum **7 years of experience in a Construction Manager, Construction Director, or equivalent senior leadership role**. * Proven experience managing **large\-scale engineering/construction projects**. * Strong experience in **Fit\-Out, Design \& Build, and MEP\-related projects**. * Proven **multi\-site construction management** experience. * Strong knowledge of construction planning, execution, quality, HSE, contracts, variations, and claims. * **PMP, FIDIC, ISO, and/or NEBOSH certifications** are preferred. * Qatar/GCC construction experience is preferred. * Strong leadership, decision\-making, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. * **Fluent Arabic communication skills are mandatory**, both written and verbal. * Ability to communicate effectively with government entities, clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
