Scope of Responsibilities** ➢Act as electrical technical authority for Wind, Solar PV and BESS projects. ➢Define, maintain and enforce Owner electrical standards, design criteria and design philosophies. ➢Review, challenge and approve EPC and OEM electrical designs, studies, specifications and calculations. ➢Oversee MV and HV electrical systems, including substations, transformers, switchgear and export systems. ➢Lead grid connection activities, including grid code compliance and coordination with utilities and TSOs. ➢Manage electrical interfaces between Wind, Solar PV, BESS, substations, transmission lines and SCADA systems. Support procurement activities, including technical evaluation of electrical equipment and suppliers. ➢Support construction, commissioning, testing, energization and achievement of Commercial Operation Date (COD). ➢Provide electrical input to contractual, commercial and technical risk management discussions. ➢Substation design with demonstrated experience in the design of high\-voltage substations up to 400 kV or above included works on site for the construction.. ➢Support Operation \& Maintenance (O\&M) and Asset Management teams post\-COD, including failure analysis and performance optimization **4\.2 Technology\-Specific Experience** Candidates should demonstrate strong experience in at least one technology; multi\-technology profiles are preferred. Wind ➢MV collector systems and turbine electrical interfaces ➢Wind farm substations and grid compliance ➢SCADA and plant control interfaces Solar PV ➢DC/AC systems, inverter technologies and MV stations ➢Grid code compliance and performance testing ➢SCADA and plant control interfaces BESS ➢PCS, EMS/BMS, transformers and protection schemes ➢Electrical safety concepts and commissioning ➢Integration with PV and/or Wind plants ➢SCADA and plant control interfaces Hybrid Systems •Hybrid plants integrating Wind, Solar PV and BESS at plant and grid level **5\. Technical Competencies** ➢Power system studies: load flow, short circuit, protection. ➢Electrical systems, including MV/HV substations, transformers, switchgear and grid connection facilities. ➢Commissioning and performance testing. ➢Renewable energy plant electrical design principles. ➢Grid code compliance, interconnection requirements and utility coordination ➢SCADA, PPC, EMS (Energy Management System) , BMS (Batteries )and plant control systems. ➢Commissioning and testing procedures. ➢Reliability runs and performance tests. ➢Construction sequencing and critical path management. ➢Project controls, including Primavera P6 or equivalent planning tools. ➢Risk management and mitigation planning. ➢Quality control and inspection test plans.. ➢Interface management between multiple contractors and technologies. **6\. Contractual and Commercial Experience** Candidates should demonstrate solid understanding of electrical project contracts, including: ➢Electrical EPC Contracts ➢Supply and Installation Agreements ➢Electrical O\&M Agreements ➢Grid Connection Agreements ➢Interface Agreements ➢Lender requirements and electrical technicals due diligence ➢Electrical performance guarantees ➢Liquidated damages ➢Delay damages ➢Force majeure and excusable delay provisions ➢Change order management ➢Claims management ➢Completion, acceptance and electrical handover procedures **7\. Health\&Safety** ➢Demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) principles ➢Strong understanding of electrical safety risks associated with MV and HV systems, including live equipment, switching operations, testing activities, energisation and commissioning of Wind, Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). ➢Ensure that EPC contractors, OEMs and subcontractors fully comply with project HSE policies, electrical safety procedures, permit\-to\-work systems, lock\-out/tag\-out (LOTO) requirements and site\-specific safety rules. ➢Active participation in the preparation, review and approval of Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Electrical Switching Procedures related to electrical works. ➢Support and oversee safe energisation, switching and commissioning activities, ensuring proper coordination with site HSE teams, grid operators and control room personnel. ➢Promote a strong safety culture and “Zero Harm” mindset, leading by example and reinforcing safe working practices across multidisciplinary project teams. ### **Requirements** **8\. Qualifications** •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering . •English proficiency B2–C1 . **8\.1 Preferred Qualifications** ➢Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or Renewable Energy ➢Previous experience acting as Owner’s Engineer or Electrical Technical Authority ➢Experience in GCC or equivalent utility\-scale renewable energy markets or at least international experience. . **4\. Minimum Experience Requirements** **4\.1 General Experience** ➢Minimum 15 years of professional experience in electrical engineering within power generation or renewable energy projects. ➢7–10 years of direct experience in one of this technologies Wind, Solar PV and BESS projects. ➢Proven experience on projects above 200 MW, standalone or hybrid. ➢Experience working under EPC, multi\-contract or Owner\-managed delivery models. ➢Experience working with utilities, IPPs, EPC contractors, OEMs or engineering consultants. **9\. Geographic and Market Experience** ➢Preferable in Middle East renewable energy projects. ➢GCC utility\-scale IPP projects. ➢Desert, remote or harsh\-climate construction environments. ➢Projects with complex logistics, grid interfaces and permitting requirements. ➢International projects involving multicultural teams and cross\-border contractors. ➢Experience in Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan or similar markets would be considered an advantage. Reporting and Documentation** ➢Weekly and monthly electrical progress reports. ➢Electrical Project schedules. ➢Look\-ahead programmes. ➢Electrical cost reports and forecast updates. ➢Electrical Change order logs. ➢Electrical Claims registers. ➢Electrical HSE reports. ➢Electrical Quality reports. ➢Electrical Commissioning and testing reports. ➢Electrical Completion certificates. ➢Electrical Handover electrical documentation. **12\.
