Data Governance Specialist

• Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure that data management practices align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. • Conduct regular data quality assessments to identify issues and recommend actionable improvements, enhancing the integrity and reliability of data. • Facilitate data stewardship programs by collaborating with business units to define data ownership, accountability, and best practices. • Create and maintain comprehensive data dictionaries and metadata repositories to provide clear definitions and context for data assets. • Required Skills & Experience • max 8–11 years in data governance, data management, or data quality roles • Expert-level hands-on experience with Axon – workflow design, modeling, user management, reporting • Strong practical experience in data lineage using Axon, Informatica, or similar tools • Proven track record in data quality – rule definition, profiling, monitoring, and remediation • Solid understanding of data modeling, SQL, and metadata management concepts • Experience working with stakeholders across business and IT to resolve ambiguous data ownership • Familiarity with data privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and data classification frameworks Preferred Qualifications • Axon certification or equivalent platform certification • Experience with metadata ingestion from Snowflake, Databricks, Informatica, dbt, Tableau • Exposure to data catalog and governance platforms and integration between Axon and other tools • Background in financial services, healthcare, or regulated industries is a plus • Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills • Stakeholder management and communication. Ability to translate business reporting requirements into governance controls.
