Job description
As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will investigate cybersecurity incidents, analyze digital evidence, monitor emerging cyber threats, and support the implementation of effective security controls. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to detect, respond to, and mitigate cyber risks while helping improve the organization's overall security posture. Key Responsibilities Monitor security alerts and investigate cybersecurity incidents. Analyze logs from multiple sources to identify potential security threats. Perform incident triage to determine severity, impact, and remediation priorities. Conduct forensic evidence collection in accordance with relevant standards. Support incident response activities, including threat analysis, intrusion investigation, and system remediation. Correlate security events to identify vulnerabilities and attack patterns. Track cybersecurity incidents from detection through resolution. Prepare incident reports, security recommendations, and post-incident documentation. Monitor external threat intelligence sources to identify emerging cyber risks. Collaborate with threat intelligence teams to assess indicators of compromise and attack trends. Apply defense-in-depth principles and cybersecurity best practices. Assist in identifying security gaps and recommending mitigation strategies. Support cloud security incident response activities. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and technology vendors on cybersecurity initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum one year of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Operations (SOC), Incident Response, or Information Security. Understanding of cybersecurity principles, security controls, and network security concepts. Knowledge of incident response and digital forensic processes. Familiarity with SIEM platforms, endpoint security, and security monitoring tools is preferred. Understanding of cloud security concepts is an advantage. Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CEH, GSEC, or equivalent) are preferred.
