Job Description – Corporate Trainer (Gemology & Jewelry) Job Title Corporate Trainer – Gemology & Jewelry Location - Dubai, UAE Reports To Training Manager / Education Manager Salary: upto 15k AED + Company benefits Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced Corporate Trainer to deliver engaging, high-quality training programs focused on gemology, jewelry, diamonds, colored gemstones, and customer experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for educating employees, retail teams, and industry professionals while ensuring learning outcomes align with organizational objectives and industry standards. Our client is a globally recognized, nonprofit leader in gemological education, research, and laboratory services. With a legacy spanning more than nine decades, the organization has established internationally accepted standards for diamond grading, gemstone identification, and professional education within the global gem and jewelry industry. Key Responsibilities Training Delivery • Deliver instructor-led classroom, virtual, and practical training programs in gemology and jewelry. • Facilitate engaging learning sessions for retail teams, professionals, and students. • Conduct technical training on diamonds, colored gemstones, pearls, jewelry manufacturing, and product knowledge. • Assess learner progress through practical exercises, assessments, and evaluations. • Adapt training methodologies to suit different learning styles and audiences. Curriculum & Content Development • Develop, update, and customize training materials, presentations, and learning resources. • Ensure training content remains aligned with industry best practices and emerging market trends. • Create assessments, quizzes, and certification materials to measure learning effectiveness. • Support the development of new educational programs and workshops. Learning Administration • Maintain accurate training records, attendance, evaluations, and learner feedback. • Prepare training reports and recommend continuous improvement initiatives. • Coordinate training schedules and classroom requirements. Stakeholder Engagement • Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify training needs. • Support onboarding and continuous professional development initiatives. • Mentor learners and provide coaching to enhance technical knowledge and customer engagement. Quality & Compliance • Ensure all training programs meet organizational quality standards. • Promote a positive learning environment and maintain professional training practices. • Stay current with developments in gemology, jewelry, and luxury retail. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. • Professional certification in Gemology (e.g., Graduate Gemologist or equivalent) is preferred. • Formal Train-the-Trainer certification is an advantage • 3–7 years of experience in corporate training, education, or instructional delivery. • Experience within the gemology, jewelry, luxury retail, or diamond industry is highly preferred. • Experience delivering classroom and practical technical training. • Curriculum development experience is an advantage. • Technical Skills • Strong knowledge of: • Diamonds • Colored gemstones • Pearls • Jewelry manufacturing • Jewelry grading and evaluation • Luxury customer experience • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills. • Strong verbal and written English communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation tools. • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is advantageous. Preferred Background Candidates from organizations such as GIA, luxury jewelry brands, jewelry retailers, gemological institutes, or luxury retail training environments will be highly regarded.
