Consultant - Reservoir Engineer

**Key Responsibilities** * Advise on reservoir evaluation and characterization. * Prepare, design, and plan reservoir simulation and modeling activities. * Advise on production forecasting and performance monitoring. * Prepare production forecasts, including rate, cumulative production, and EUR, using simulation, decline curve analysis, and other analytical methods. * Monitor reservoir pressure, production trends, and well performance. * Support Field Development Planning (FDP), including evaluation of alternative development scenarios and optimization of field economics. * Support effective utilization of available human resources to achieve exploration targets. * Support program formulation, validation, establishment, and execution. * Perform economic evaluation and decision support, including **NPV, IRR, and breakeven analysis**. * Advise on budget requirements for relevant programs. * Conduct risk and uncertainty analysis, including production forecasting and recovery efficiency. * Work closely with E\&P companies, technology developers, and research institutes to assess technical, research, and commercial viability of E\&P challenges. * Provide expert recommendations on reservoir development strategy, production optimization, and data acquisition, including **well tests, PVT, and surveillance**. * Prepare reservoir study reports, simulation results, and reserves reports in accordance with **PRMS/SEC standards**. * Translate complex reservoir data into business decisions. **Minimum Requirements** * Master’s degree in **Geoscience or Engineering**; PhD preferred. * Minimum **20\+ years of professional upstream experience** in E\&P research and development activities. * Strong knowledge and skills in reservoir evaluation, characterization, and advanced testing methods. * Ability to build and maintain dynamic reservoir simulation models. * Experience conducting history matching using production performance data. * Ability to monitor reservoir pressure, production trends, and well performance. * Strong capability in economic analysis, including NPV, IRR, and breakeven. * Experience in reservoir risk and uncertainty analysis, including reservoir properties, production forecasts, and recovery efficiency. * Experience integrating **well logs, core data, and petrophysical interpretation**. * Knowledge of advanced reservoir engineering tools available in the market. * Strong teamwork, leadership, strategic thinking, problem\-solving, organization, communication, and multitasking skills. * Ability to prepare reservoir study reports, simulation results, and reserves reports in accordance with PRMS/SEC standards. * Ability to translate complex geological data into actionable insights for decision\-making. * Capability to support training and development of national staff. **Education \& Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in **Reservoir Engineering**; Master’s or PhD preferred. * **20\+ years of demonstrable international upstream experience** with large and small international E\&P companies and ideally research institutes. * Middle East experience is considered beneficial. **Key Competencies** * Analytical and problem\-solving capability * Knowledge and utilization of different technical tools * Awareness of new technologies available in the market * Machine learning * Knowledge of evolving testing methods * Strong understanding of the relevant project * Resilience * Creativity * Strong execution capability **Technical Competencies** * Innovation * New Technology * Experience in **Middle East carbonate reservoirs** * Testing and reservoir analysis of **Kuwait Jurassic\-Cretaceous reservoirs** * Familiarity with **AI/ML workflows in reservoir analysis and testing** * Multiple academic publications in recognized trade journals Work Location: In person
