Consultant - Regulatory and Compliance

**Job Summary** Assist in leading, developing, and implementing KOC’s Business Development Group mandate and strategy through the identification, evaluation, maturation, and closure of business opportunities. The role supports the development and pursuit of business opportunities and strategic corporate alliances, while providing professional, technical, commercial, and operational guidance to project teams. The position also acts as a focal point for opportunities through internal and external approval processes, coordinates multidisciplinary teams and external advisors, and supports the tendering and award process for third\-party advisors. Consultant Job Descriptions **Key Responsibilities** * Identify assets representing investment opportunities aligned with KOC’s overall strategy and business plans. * Perform initial screening and economic modeling of identified opportunities in coordination with KOC departments, government entities, oil and gas consultants, and other service providers. * Collaborate with KOC Petroleum Economists to review and analyze the economics of identified assets. * Coordinate assessment activities on selected assets, including business model evaluations, while ensuring compliance with KOC policies. * Work with KOC stakeholders to assess the commercial viability and budget alignment of identified assets. * Draft and coordinate review of Terms \& Conditions for tender processes and ensure endorsement by the relevant KOC stakeholders and authorities. * Participate in meetings with potential partners throughout all phases of the tender cycle and act as the focal point for the relevant commercial and contractual team. * Participate in peer reviews and support technical and commercial personnel. * Present recommendations, including financing\-related recommendations, project economics, and risk analysis, and obtain required approvals. * Ensure commercial matters are properly reviewed and endorsed to safeguard the company’s financial interests. * Coordinate with Planning teams to secure required budgets for asset development. * Monitor implementation of approved Terms \& Conditions throughout the partnership lifecycle, including establishment of Joint Operating Companies where applicable. * Coordinate with technical and commercial teams to ensure correct implementation of approved Terms \& Conditions during contract execution. * Act as the focal point for post\-tender adjustments to Terms \& Conditions and ensure proposed modifications are legally and commercially viable. * Provide legal guidance on contract clauses to ensure enforceability and minimize risk during partnerships. * Assess asset performance in preparation for contract renewal and provide advice on legal, technical, and commercial matters. * Recommend opportunities for improvement in both core and non\-core business processes.
