Consultant - Production Architecture (Process)

**Job Summary** Provides specialist consultancy, advice, and solution support to management and technical teams on production architecture, process engineering, flow assurance, and hydraulic challenges related to early production, new fields, and remote field developments. The role supports decision\-making for complex and strategic production challenges, contributes to concept definition and facilities development, ensures alignment with IPM Contracts and existing KOC assets, and supports the achievement of New Venture Group production targets, including Conventional and Jurassic developments. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide specialist consultancy and expert advice on production architecture, process engineering, flow assurance, and hydraulics to support management decision\-making on complex technical challenges. * Define the scope of technical studies and lead related activities to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement in early production and new field developments. * Review major technical, operability, and integration issues in coordination with relevant Directorates and stakeholders, and direct the required data gathering and analysis. * Conduct and review flow assurance and hydraulic studies, including multiphase flow behavior, pressure and temperature profiles, long\-distance tiebacks, slugging risks, erosion/corrosion, and production operability constraints. * Advise on production architecture concepts, including field layouts, gathering systems, flowline routing, and surface facility configurations for early production, new fields, and remote field developments. * Support the evaluation and deployment of advanced and fit\-for\-purpose technologies, including boosting and multiphase pumping systems, gas sweetening facilities, Sulfur Recovery Units (SRU), and Conventional/Jurassic production facilities. * Review contractor and consultant deliverables to ensure compliance with production architecture requirements, operability standards, flow assurance criteria, and production readiness objectives. * Provide specialist process input to IPM Contracts during concept, pre\-FEED, FEED, and execution stages, including participation in technical reviews and stage\-gate assessments. * Assess technical interfaces between new developments and existing KOC assets, including tie\-ins, brownfield modifications, and operational integration. * Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Asset Teams, Project Management, HSE, and Planning, as well as external contractors, consultants, and technology providers. * Provide coaching and mentoring to Process Engineers and support technical development, knowledge transfer, and capability building. * Participate in strategic technical planning and support long\-term production architecture improvement initiatives and implementation of emerging technologies. * Apply risk management principles and support identification and mitigation of technical and operational risks while ensuring compliance with KOC HSEMS requirements. Consultant Job Descriptions Consultant Job Descriptions **Minimum Requirements** * University degree in **Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related consultancy specialty**. * Postgraduate qualification such as **MSc or PhD** is considered an advantage. * Minimum **15 years of experience** in process engineering, production facilities, flow assurance, hydraulics, or production architecture consultancy within the oil and gas industry. * Demonstrated consultancy experience relevant to early production, new field developments, complex facilities projects, and Conventional/Jurassic developments.
