Job description
**Purpose \& Scope**
Perform petroleum engineering duties related to well completion, testing, and workover activities, while supporting technical studies, data acquisition, and well monitoring activities.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide specialist expertise in **HPHT well testing and completion operations** for both onshore and offshore wells.
* Support **sour service well testing** activities.
* Plan petroleum engineering activities related to:
* well completion;
* completion fluids;
* well testing;
* perforation;
* stimulation;
* workover operations.
* Prepare well testing and completion programs or provide technical guidance for program preparation.
* Provide specialist knowledge for **highly deviated and horizontal wells**, including completion, stimulation, and fracturing activities.
* Collect and analyze technical data and contribute to major in\-house or consultant\-led studies related to company operations.
* Provide functional guidance and direction to engineers and support their technical development.
* Apply petroleum engineering software such as **WellCAT** for tubing movement, stress, and pressure analysis during well testing.
* Apply risk management processes in day\-to\-day petroleum engineering activities.
**Independence of Operation \& Accountability**
* Report to the assigned Unit Head.
* Determine work methods in accordance with general directives and established petroleum engineering standards and procedures.
* Keep supervisors informed of work progress, with findings and evaluations subject to supervisory review.
* Be accountable for technical studies, analyses, and recommendations aimed at improving the utilization of resources and facilities and optimizing return on investment.
**Minimum Requirements**
* Degree in **Engineering**.
* Minimum **20\+ years of professional upstream experience** in E\&P research and development activities.
* Strong credentials in developing, scoping, and managing technical programs.
* Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, and manage programs based on business needs, including:
* scope definition;
* staffing requirements;
* required technical capabilities;
* equipment requirements.
* Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary teams comprising geochemists, geologists, reservoir engineers, petroleum engineers, and process engineers.
* International experience working with major E\&P companies and research institutes.
* Strong teamwork, leadership, strategic thinking, problem\-solving, communication, organization, flexibility, creativity, and multitasking skills.
**Education \& Experience**
* **20\+ years of demonstrable international upstream experience** with large and small international E\&P companies and ideally research institutes.
* Middle East experience is considered an advantage.
