A reputable healthcare provider in Dubai, UAE is expanding its child health and paediatric services and is seeking a qualified Consultant Paediatrician to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. The position focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered medical care to infants, children, and adolescents within a modern healthcare environment. This role offers an opportunity to practice comprehensive paediatrics while working within an integrated healthcare system supported by advanced diagnostics, specialist referral services, emergency support, neonatal care, and allied health services. Role Overview Position: Consultant Paediatrics Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates Healthcare Setting: Multispecialty Hospital / Paediatrics Department Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification Practice Model: Outpatient and inpatient paediatric care with integrated diagnostic and specialist referral support Key Responsibilities – Paediatrics Provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents across outpatient and inpatient settings. Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic paediatric conditions using evidence-based clinical guidelines. Conduct detailed medical histories, physical examinations, growth assessments, developmental evaluations, and diagnostic reviews. Manage common paediatric conditions including respiratory infections, asthma, allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, fever, infectious diseases, nutritional concerns, endocrine concerns, and childhood chronic illnesses. Provide preventive paediatric care including immunizations, newborn checks, growth monitoring, developmental screening, and wellness assessments. Identify and manage developmental delays, behavioural concerns, feeding issues, and child health risk factors. Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure appropriate follow-up for continuity of care. Provide parental counseling on nutrition, breastfeeding, sleep, vaccination, child safety, lifestyle, growth, and disease prevention. Coordinate referrals to paediatric subspecialists, neonatologists, surgeons, allied healthcare professionals, and diagnostic services when required. Support emergency assessment and stabilization of paediatric patients when needed, in line with hospital protocols and scope of practice. Work closely with nursing teams, emergency physicians, neonatology teams, family medicine physicians, and allied health professionals to ensure integrated care. Maintain accurate electronic medical records, clinical documentation, consent forms, and follow-up plans in accordance with regulatory requirements. Participate in clinical governance activities, quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, infection control practices, and departmental audits. Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, child safeguarding standards, ethical medical practice, and hospital policies.
