Job description

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess the visual system to diagnose conditions accurately. • Perform advanced surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, retinal surgery, and corneal transplants with precision. • Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to develop integrated patient care plans. • Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and technologies to enhance patient outcomes and monitor progress. • Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive measures to empower informed decision-making. • Lead clinical research projects and contribute to advancements in ophthalmology through evidence-based practices. • Maintain meticulous patient records and ensure compliance with medical regulations and ethical standards. • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to provide expert opinions on complex cases and treatment strategies. • Train and mentor junior medical staff and residents, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. • Engage in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness and improve access to ophthalmic care. • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialized training in ophthalmology from a recognized institution. • Board certification in ophthalmology, demonstrating expertise and commitment to quality patient care. • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in an ophthalmology setting, with a strong surgical background. • Proficiency in English and the local language to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations. • Experience with advanced ophthalmic technologies and surgical techniques is highly valued. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and manage complex ocular conditions. • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams. • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and make critical decisions swiftly and effectively. • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology. • Physical ability to perform intricate surgical procedures and manage patients with mobility challenges.
