A reputable healthcare provider in Dubai, UAE is expanding its women’s health and maternity services and is seeking a qualified Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. The position focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to women across all stages of life within a modern healthcare environment.
This role offers an opportunity to practice comprehensive obstetrics and gynaecology while working within an integrated healthcare system supported by advanced diagnostics, surgical facilities, maternity services, neonatal care, and specialist referral support.
Role Overview
Position: Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Healthcare Setting: Multispecialty Hospital / Women’s Health & Maternity Department
Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
Practice Model: Outpatient and inpatient obstetrics and gynaecology care with diagnostic, surgical, and multidisciplinary support
Key Responsibilities – Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to women across reproductive, antenatal, postnatal, and menopausal stages.
Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of women’s health conditions using evidence-based clinical guidelines.
Provide antenatal care, pregnancy monitoring, risk assessment, labour management, and postnatal follow-up.
Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies in coordination with fetal medicine, neonatology, anaesthesia, and other specialist teams.
Conduct detailed medical histories, clinical examinations, ultrasound assessments, and diagnostic evaluations where applicable.
Diagnose and manage gynaecological conditions including menstrual disorders, PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain, infertility-related concerns, infections, and menopausal symptoms.
Perform obstetric and gynaecological procedures within the scope of practice, including deliveries, caesarean sections, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and other approved surgical procedures depending on facility privileges.
Provide preventive women’s health services including cervical screening, breast health counseling, contraception advice, fertility counseling, and wellness assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure appropriate follow-up for continuity of care.
Counsel patients and families regarding pregnancy care, delivery options, reproductive health, family planning, and long-term women’s wellness.
Coordinate referrals to maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive medicine, oncology, urology, radiology, and allied healthcare professionals when required.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records, consent documentation, operative notes, and clinical reports in accordance with regulatory and hospital requirements.
Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality reviews, patient safety programs, and departmental protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, ethical, and patient-centered care.
Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, ethical medical practice standards, infection control policies, and hospital procedures.
