Consultant Obstetrician \& Gynaecologist / Gynaecological Surgeon **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Employment Type:** Full\-time **Salary:** Competitive package About the Role The Taleb Group and the Turskish Hospital in Doha, are seeking an experienced and highly skilled **Consultant Obstetrician \& Gynaecologist / Gynaecological Surgeon** to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high\-quality surgical and clinical care to patients across a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological conditions. The role requires strong clinical judgement, excellent surgical skills, and a commitment to patient safety and high standards of care. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in both **open and minimally invasive gynaecological procedures**, as well as obstetric surgery. Key Surgical Procedures The successful candidate should have experience performing, or be competent in, a range of the following procedures: * Anterior colporrhaphy / anterior colpoperineorrhaphy * Colposcopy * Operative laparoscopy * Laparoscopic ovarian drilling * Laparotomy for ectopic pregnancy * Total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo\-oophorectomy (TAH\-BSO) * Operative hysteroscopy * Diagnostic hysteroscopy * Hysterotomy / abdominal hysterotomy * LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure) * Myomectomy (fibroidectomy) * Obstetric hysterectomy Key Responsibilities * Provide specialist consultation, diagnosis, treatment and follow\-up for obstetric and gynaecological patients. * Perform appropriate surgical procedures safely and effectively. * Assess patients pre\-operatively and provide appropriate post\-operative care. * Develop and implement individualised treatment plans. * Work collaboratively with anaesthetists, nurses, midwives and other members of the multidisciplinary team. * Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation. * Ensure compliance with clinical governance, infection prevention, patient safety and professional standards. * Participate in clinical discussions, case reviews and quality improvement activities. * Provide clear communication and appropriate counselling to patients and their families. * Maintain professional knowledge and skills through continuing professional development. Essential Requirements * Medical degree and recognised specialist qualification in **Obstetrics \& Gynaecology**. * Current registration/licence to practise with the relevant medical regulatory authority. * Demonstrable experience in gynaecological and obstetric surgery. * Proven competence in a range of the procedures listed above. * Strong clinical decision\-making and surgical skills. * Commitment to patient safety and evidence\-based clinical practice. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Desirable * Fellowship or equivalent specialist qualification in Obstetrics \& Gynaecology. * Additional training or experience in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. * Experience in advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. * Experience working in a hospital or specialist women's health setting. * Relevant professional memberships and continuing professional development.
