Job description
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to diagnose complex gastrointestinal disorders using advanced endoscopic techniques and imaging.
• Develop personalized treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, ensuring alignment with the latest clinical guidelines.
• Perform advanced procedures such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) to manage and treat conditions effectively.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions to optimize patient outcomes and foster a collaborative approach to complex cases.
• Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal health, conditions, and treatment options, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in healthcare.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors, ensuring they develop essential skills and adhere to high standards of patient care.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives within the department to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in gastroenterology from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in gastroenterology, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
• Familiarity with advanced endoscopic techniques and procedures, indicating hands-on experience and proficiency.
• Strong understanding of gastrointestinal diseases and their management, backed by a solid clinical foundation.
• Fluency in English, with proficiency in additional languages preferred to cater to diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of cooperation.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex information to patients and colleagues.
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach, ensuring high-quality care and support for patients and their families.
