The successful candidate will provide comprehensive gastroenterology care across outpatient, inpatient, and endoscopy services while working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team supported by advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy facilities. The position offers exposure to a diverse patient population and the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of high-quality gastroenterology services within one of the region's leading private healthcare providers. Clinical Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Deliver Consultant-level Gastroenterology services. Diagnose and manage: Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease Peptic ulcer disease Inflammatory bowel disease Irritable bowel syndrome Chronic liver disease Pancreatic disorders Gastrointestinal bleeding Functional gastrointestinal disorders Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including: Upper GI endoscopy Colonoscopy Polypectomy Gastrointestinal bleeding management Candidates with ERCP and EUS expertise will be highly regarded. Participate in multidisciplinary hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal oncology meetings. Support departmental quality improvement, teaching, and clinical governance programmes. Requirements Western-trained Consultant Gastroenterologist UK CCT, American Board Certification, Canadian Fellowship, Australian Fellowship, or equivalent Tier 1 qualification Minimum 5 years' Consultant experience Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy preferred ERCP and/or EUS experience highly desirable DHA, MOH, or DOH Licence / Eligibility preferred Strong communication and patient-centred care skills Preferred Candidate Profile Preference will be given to candidates with: Advanced endoscopy expertise (ERCP/EUS) Existing UAE licence or eligibility Experience within internationally accredited tertiary hospitals Academic, research, or teaching background Strong multidisciplinary clinical experience Immediate availability
