Construction Planning Engineer

Job Description ERA Projects is looking for an experienced **Construction Planning Engineer** to join our construction team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting, and coordination with project and site teams to ensure projects are completed within approved timelines. The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in **Primavera P6, construction scheduling, progress tracking, critical path analysis, and project controls**. Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules using **Primavera P6**. * Prepare baseline programs, master schedules, WBS, milestones, and look\-ahead schedules. * Monitor actual site progress against approved project schedules. * Collect progress updates from site teams and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. * Identify delays, critical activities, schedule risks, and potential project slippage. * Conduct planned vs. actual progress and critical path analysis. * Prepare recovery schedules and recommend corrective actions for delayed activities. * Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, MEP teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers. * Monitor manpower, materials, procurement activities, equipment, and subcontractor progress affecting project schedules. * Prepare S\-curves, progress reports, and schedule updates. * Assist with delay analysis, EOT documentation, and claims\-related planning when required. * Attend project progress and coordination meetings and provide planning updates. * Maintain accurate planning records, schedules, and project documentation. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in **Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field**. * Minimum **3–5 years of experience** as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry. * Strong experience in building, villa, residential, commercial, or large\-scale construction projects. * Excellent practical knowledge of **Primavera P6**. * Knowledge of **MS Project and MS Excel** is an advantage. * Strong understanding of **WBS, CPM, baseline schedules, critical path, float, and construction sequencing**. * Experience in progress monitoring, schedule updating, recovery planning, and delay analysis. * Ability to read and understand construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements. * Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and reporting skills. * **Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.** * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiner is strongly preferred.** Preferred Candidate We are looking for a **hands\-on Construction Planning Engineer** with practical site experience rather than someone limited to administrative planning.
