About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to lead and enhance our compliance function in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and project management capabilities, paired with deep technical expertise in regulatory requirements. This role will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance programs to ensure adherence to UAE laws and industry regulations. Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures in line with UAE regulations • Monitor changes in local and international regulatory environments and advise senior management on implications • Lead and manage cross-functional compliance projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to objectives • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits; coordinate remediation efforts for identified issues • Liaise with regulatory authorities, responding to inquiries and facilitating inspections • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance best practices and regulatory requirements • Prepare and present regular compliance reports to executive leadership Required Qualifications: • 7–10 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field within the UAE or GCC region • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring compliance teams (non-technical) • Technical expertise in UAE regulatory frameworks, including AML, KYC, and data protection laws • Strong project management skills, with track record of delivering complex compliance initiatives on time and within scope (non-technical) • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline Preferred Qualifications: • Professional certification such as CAMS, CCEP, or equivalent • Experience with international compliance standards (e.g., ISO 19600/37301) • Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Law, Compliance, or Business) • Prior experience in the financial services or energy sector in the Middle East • Proficiency in Arabic language
