Commis Chef - Oven Section

We are looking for a motivated, hardworking, and reliable **Commis Chef – Oven Section** to join our Main Kitchen team at a high\-end restaurant in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of oven cooking and food preparation, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and develop their culinary skills in a professional kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities * Assist the Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie with daily oven section operations. * Prepare ingredients and basic food items for oven cooking. * Assist with mise en place and preparation before service. * Operate ovens under the supervision of senior chefs. * Follow cooking temperatures, timings, recipes, and instructions accurately. * Ensure food is cooked properly and consistently. * Assist with plating and presentation according to restaurant standards. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the oven and work station. * Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times. * Properly store, label, and rotate food products. * Help minimize food wastage and maintain proper portion control. * Support the kitchen team during busy service periods. * Follow instructions from senior chefs and maintain a professional attitude. Main Requirements * Previous experience as a **Commis Chef or Kitchen Commis** is preferred. * Experience in an oven is an advantage. * Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and oven operations. * Culinary training or hospitality education is an advantage. * Passion for cooking and willingness to learn. * Good teamwork and communication skills. * Strong work ethic and positive attitude. * Good attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast\-paced kitchen. * Physically fit and able to work flexible shifts. * Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
