Job description

**This is a non\-clinical management role. A veterinary qualification is not required.** Parkview Pet Center has cared for Doha's pets since 2011\. Today, we are a team of around 45 people providing veterinary care, grooming, boarding, retail and pet relocation services. We are looking for an experienced manager to work directly with our Managing Director and take day\-to\-day management responsibility for this multi\-service business. This is a hands\-on role for someone who is comfortable with people, clients, numbers and operations, and who can bring structure, follow\-through and sound commercial judgment to a busy service environment. **What you will do** **Manage the business day to day** * Oversee performance across veterinary care, grooming, boarding, retail and pet relocation. * Monitor revenue, costs, service KPIs and utilisation across departments. * Keep operating costs under control, including staffing, stock and purchasing. * Ensure outstanding client accounts and other financial follow\-ups are being handled by the responsible team. * Use management information to identify problems, opportunities and practical next steps. * Coordinate priorities across departments and make sure important issues are followed through to completion. * Support the Managing Director when evaluating new services, specialist hires and business opportunities. **Deliver an excellent client experience** * Maintain high service standards across reception and all client\-facing departments. * Build strong relationships with long\-standing and key clients. * Handle sensitive or escalated client situations with professionalism and compassion. * Use client feedback and service trends to improve the experience and strengthen client retention. **Lead and develop the team** * Manage a multidisciplinary team including veterinarians, nurses, reception, grooming, boarding, retail, relocation and administrative staff. * Lead recruitment alongside the Managing Director, including veterinarians, nurses and other key positions. * Establish clear roles, responsibilities and expectations across the team. * Oversee onboarding, performance reviews, staff development, scheduling and day\-to\-day people management. * Manage veterinarians and nurses operationally while clinical decisions remain with veterinary professionals. **Build structure and consistency** * Improve coordination and workflows across the business. * Turn established working practices into clear, practical procedures where needed. * Maintain useful management reporting and follow\-up. * Make sure responsibilities are clear and important work does not depend on one person remembering it. * Support employment, licensing and operational compliance together with Parkview's PRO and professional advisers. **About you** We are looking for someone with: * Proven management experience in a customer\-facing service business, ideally healthcare, veterinary, wellness or another premium service environment. * Experience leading teams and recruiting, selecting and developing skilled or professional employees. * Strong commercial awareness and confidence working with a P\&L, KPIs and management reports. * Excellent client\-service and relationship\-management skills. * Strong written and spoken English and confidence using modern business systems. * A genuine interest in animals and commitment to their welfare. Previous veterinary or pet\-industry experience is an advantage, but not required. Experience managing clinicians or other professional staff is an advantage. Pet ownership or meaningful experience around animals is a plus. **Working environment** * Candidates currently in Qatar or elsewhere in the GCC are encouraged to apply. * This is a visible, hands\-on management role in a seven\-day business. * The schedule is flexible around operational needs and requires appropriate evening and weekend presence. * The role reports directly to the Managing Director. This role would suit a commercially minded manager who enjoys running a busy service business, developing people, improving how things work and staying close enough to the operation to understand what is really happening. Pay: QAR15,000\.00 \- QAR20,000\.00 per month Application Question(s): * Which sectors have you worked in at management level? Please list the main sectors only (for example: healthcare, veterinary/pet care, hospitality, retail, wellness, dental, finance, etc.). * Please list your last three management roles, including job title, employer and country. If you have held fewer than three management roles, list those you have held. * In your most recent management role, approximately how many employees were you responsible for managing? * In your most recent management role, which areas were you directly accountable for? Please briefly list them (for example: staff, recruitment, operations, revenue/budget, KPIs, client experience, stock/purchasing). * Are you comfortable working a flexible management schedule in a seven\-day business, including evenings and weekends when operationally required? Work Location: In person
