Civil QC Inspector-1

Location: Oman Employment Type: Full\-Time **Al Bany International Oman** is seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented **Civil QC Inspector** to oversee quality control activities for civil construction works across building, infrastructure, and MEP projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities, materials, and workmanship comply with project specifications, approved quality plans, and applicable international standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Review and approve Quality Control Plans (QCP), Inspection \& Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, and method statements before construction activities commence. * Perform inspections of civil and structural works at fabrication facilities and construction sites. * Inspect excavation, earthworks, concrete works, block work, structural steel, roofing, roads, paving, and other civil construction activities. * Conduct visual inspections of concrete structures, buildings, and structural steel, including verification of construction procedures and batch certificates. * Perform material receipt inspections and verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and Material Acceptance Sheets (MAS) for compliance with project specifications. * Witness contractor inspections and testing activities to ensure compliance with approved quality procedures and applicable codes and standards. * Verify calibration status of all measuring and testing equipment used on site. * Identify quality deficiencies, issue Non\-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and monitor corrective actions through to closure. * Raise and verify punch list items, review quality records, and support project completion and handover activities. * Support quality audits and collaborate with project engineers to resolve quality\-related issues while ensuring full compliance with HSE requirements. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor/ Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline. * Minimum 8 years of experience in quality control inspection for real estate construction and MEP projects. * Proven experience in soil excavation, earthworks, concrete works, block work, structural steel, roofing, roads, paving, and general civil building works. * Strong understanding of QA/QC inspection processes, construction methodologies, and material testing procedures. * Experience reviewing quality documentation, inspection reports, and construction records. **Technical Requirements** * Good knowledge of international standards and codes, including ASTM, ASME, API, AWS, BS, ISO, and NEC. * Knowledge of welding inspection and Non\-Destructive Examination (NDE). * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project documentation systems. * Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. * Willingness to travel to project sites as required. **What We Offer** * Opportunity to work on prestigious construction and infrastructure projects. * Professional growth and career development. * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
