Civil Engineer – Firestopping & Coating

Job Title: Civil Engineer – Firestopping \& Coating **Company:** Vortexen Dynamics Industrial Solutions **Location:** United Arab Emirates **Employment Type:** Full\-Time Job Summary Vortexen Dynamics Industrial Solutions is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with strong knowledge of firestopping, passive fire protection, industrial coating, estimation, and project coordination. The candidate must have previous UAE experience and hold a valid UAE driving licence. The role requires regular client meetings, site visits, project inspections, estimation, proposal preparation, and coordination with operations teams. Key Responsibilities * Conduct site surveys and understand project requirements. * Prepare quantity take\-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, quotations, and technical proposals. * Review drawings, specifications, tender documents, and project requirements. * Prepare estimates for firestopping and coating works. * Identify suitable materials, systems, manpower requirements, equipment, and project costs. * Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and site teams. * Attend client meetings, technical discussions, inspections, and site meetings. * Prepare method statements, material submittals, technical submittals, inspection requests, and related documents. * Support firestopping engineering judgments and system selection. * Monitor project progress, manpower productivity, material consumption, quality, safety, and completion schedules. * Coordinate testing, inspections, approvals, handover documentation, and project close\-out. * Support sales and business development activities by preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals. * Travel to project sites throughout the UAE. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering. * Previous civil engineering experience in the UAE. * Valid UAE driving licence. * Practical experience in firestopping, passive fire protection, or industrial coating. * Strong experience in estimation, quantity take\-off, BOQ preparation, and costing. * Ability to read civil, architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. * Knowledge of UAE construction procedures, site documentation, and approval processes. * Good communication, reporting, negotiation, and client\-handling skills. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, and related estimation tools. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
