Cashier

Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and detail\-oriented Cashier to handle daily cash transactions, process customer payments, maintain accurate financial records, and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate should have strong numerical skills, honesty, and the ability to manage cash accurately in a fast\-paced working environment. Key Responsibilities * Receive and process cash, credit/debit card, bank transfer, and other customer payments. * Issue invoices, receipts, and payment confirmations accurately. * Maintain accurate records of all cash transactions and daily collections. * Reconcile cash on hand with the sales or payment records at the end of each shift. * Prepare daily cash reports and submit collections to the Accounts Department. * Handle petty cash transactions and maintain supporting documents. * Verify invoices, bills, and payment details before processing transactions. * Coordinate with the Accounts Department regarding outstanding payments and discrepancies. * Assist customers with payment\-related queries and provide professional service. * Ensure the security of cash, payment receipts, and financial documents. * Follow company policies, financial procedures, and internal control guidelines. * Report cash shortages, overages, or suspicious transactions to the supervisor immediately. Requirements and Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in Accounting or Finance is an advantage. * Previous experience as a Cashier, preferably in the automotive, retail, or service industry. * Basic knowledge of cash handling, billing, invoicing, and payment reconciliation. * Familiarity with MS Excel and billing or accounting software. * Strong numerical, communication, and organizational skills. * High level of honesty, accuracy, and attention to detail. * Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple transactions efficiently. * Good customer service and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of UAE currency and payment procedures. * Candidates currently residing in the UAE are preferred.
