The successful candidate will handle cash and electronic transactions, process customer payments, issue receipts, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with billing inquiries while ensuring a smooth and professional customer experience. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with experience as a Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Hotel Cashier, Retail Cashier, POS Cashier, or Payment Processing Assistant. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating point\-of\-sale (POS) systems, reconciling cash, maintaining transaction records, and working efficiently in a hotel, restaurant, café, or other hospitality establishment. **Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ * Process customer payments accurately using cash, credit and debit cards, contactless payments, and other authorized payment methods. * Operate cash registers, point\-of\-sale (POS) terminals, billing software, and electronic payment systems. * Generate invoices, receipts, bills, and payment confirmations for customers. * Handle cash transactions and provide the correct change while maintaining accuracy and accountability. * Verify billing details, item prices, discounts, promotions, and applicable service charges before processing payments. * Manage payments for restaurant meals, hotel services, café orders, and other hospitality\-related purchases as applicable. * Reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and report discrepancies to the supervisor. * Maintain accurate records of daily sales, payment collections, refunds, voided transactions, and other financial activities. * Process authorized refunds, cancellations, and payment adjustments in accordance with company policies. * Respond professionally to customer questions about bills, receipts, payment methods, and transaction discrepancies. * Coordinate with restaurant staff, front office teams, supervisors, and accounting personnel to resolve billing issues. **Required Qualifications** --------------------------- * High school diploma or equivalent qualification; a certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage. * Previous experience as a Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Hotel Cashier, Retail Cashier, or POS Cashier is preferred. * Experience in a hotel, restaurant, café, resort, food and beverage outlet, or other hospitality environment is an advantage. * Basic knowledge of cash handling, billing procedures, payment processing, and daily cash reconciliation. * Familiarity with POS systems, cash registers, card payment terminals, and computerized billing software. * Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail when processing payments and checking bills. * Ability to issue receipts, maintain transaction records, and prepare basic daily sales or cash reports. * Good verbal communication skills and a customer\-focused approach to handling payment inquiries. * Ability to manage customer transactions efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accuracy. * Understanding of cash security, payment confidentiality, and standard financial control procedures.
