Cable Testing Engineer

**Job Title: Cable Testing Engineer****Experience Required:** 5–8 Years **Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced **Cable Testing Engineer** with 5–8 years of hands\-on experience in electrical cable testing, fault diagnostics, and maintenance. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in high\-voltage cable testing, project coordination, and client interaction while leading field teams effectively. **Key Responsibilities:*** Prepare work schedules and coordinate testing and maintenance activities with electrical project teams. * Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical cables, including: + Control Cables + Low Voltage (LV) Cables + Medium Voltage (MV) Cables + Extra High Voltage (EHV) Cables * Diagnose and troubleshoot high\-voltage cable faults using industry\-standard fault location techniques. * Conduct online and offline Partial Discharge (PD) testing, particularly for **33 kV and above** cable systems. * Operate cable fault locators and testing equipment, including Megger, BAUR, and other electrical test instruments. * Analyze test results and prepare accurate technical test reports. * Coordinate with clients at project sites, explain test findings, and provide technical support. * Supervise and manage field technicians and work crews to ensure safe and efficient execution of testing activities. * Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and project requirements. **Required Qualifications \& Skills:*** Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field. * 5–8 years of proven experience in cable testing and fault diagnosis. * Strong knowledge of LV, MV, and EHV cable systems. * Hands\-on experience with cable fault location equipment and high\-voltage test kits such as **Megger**, **BAUR**, and similar instruments. * Experience in online and offline Partial Discharge testing for **33 kV and above** cable networks. * Ability to prepare professional technical reports and documentation. * Excellent communication and client\-handling skills. * Strong leadership abilities with experience managing field teams and multiple work activities. * Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
