Business Process \& Compliance Officer **Company:** Five M Waste Management **Location:** Abu Dhabi, UAE **Employment Type:** Full\-time Five M Waste Management is seeking a capable and detail\-oriented **Business Process \& Compliance Officer** to improve the way our departments operate and ensure that company procedures are properly documented, implemented and followed. This role will work closely with management and all departments to develop structured workflows, strengthen internal controls, improve ERP usage and ensure operational activities are carried out consistently and in accordance with company policies, client requirements and applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities * Review and map existing processes across operations, sales, procurement, stores, maintenance, HR, finance and administration. * Identify process gaps, duplicated work, weak controls, delays and unnecessary manual activities. * Develop clear standard operating procedures, policies, workflows, checklists and approval matrices. * Define the responsibilities and handover points between departments. * Ensure approved procedures are properly communicated and followed by employees. * Review ERP workflows and recommend improvements, controls and automation. * Coordinate with ERP developers or IT teams to implement approved system changes. * Ensure transactions and approvals are recorded correctly within the ERP. * Develop forms, registers, reports and dashboards needed for effective process control. * Conduct regular internal process and compliance audits. * Investigate cases where procedures were not followed and recommend corrective actions. * Track corrective and preventive actions until closure. * Monitor compliance with company policies, contractual requirements and management approvals. * Support compliance with relevant UAE waste management, environmental, transport, labour, health and safety and client requirements. * Coordinate with the Document Controller to ensure policies and procedures are properly controlled and updated. * Establish departmental KPIs and monitor performance against agreed targets. * Prepare monthly reports covering process performance, compliance gaps, risks and corrective actions. * Train employees on new processes, procedures and system requirements. * Support management in developing a structured and scalable operating system as the company expands. * Promote accountability, transparency and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Operations Management, Information Systems or a related field. * Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business process improvement, compliance, internal controls, quality management or operational excellence. * Previous UAE experience is strongly preferred. * Experience in waste management, logistics, transportation, construction, facilities management or another operational industry is preferred. * Strong understanding of SOP development, workflow mapping, approval controls and internal audits. * Experience with ERP systems and business process automation. * Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and process\-flow tools. * Knowledge of ISO management systems is an advantage. * Strong analytical, reporting and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to challenge inefficient practices professionally and follow up until corrective actions are completed. * Excellent written and spoken English. * Strong coordination skills and the ability to work directly with senior management and department heads.
