Barista Server

The Barista / Café Server is responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service while preparing and serving high\-quality coffee, beverages, and selected café items. The role also supports daily café operations, maintains cleanliness and hygiene standards, handles customer orders and payments, and ensures a welcoming experience for all customers. 2\. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Beverage Preparation * Prepare and serve coffee, espresso\-based beverages, tea, and other hot and cold drinks according to the café's recipes and quality standards. * Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely and correctly. * Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portion, temperature, and presentation. * Maintain proper knowledge of the café menu, ingredients, and preparation methods. * Prepare beverages promptly while maintaining quality during busy periods. B. Customer Service * Welcome customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. * Take customer orders accurately and provide information about menu items when required. * Respond to customer questions and requests professionally. * Recommend suitable beverages or café items based on customer preferences. * Handle customer feedback and complaints politely and escalate issues to the supervisor when necessary. * Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere within the café. C. Café Service * Serve beverages and food items to customers accurately and promptly. * Ensure tables, counters, and customer areas remain clean and organized. * Clear used cups, plates, and other items from tables when required. * Assist customers with general café requirements. * Support the team during busy periods to ensure smooth service. E. Cleanliness \& Hygiene * Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic barista station throughout the shift. * Clean and properly maintain coffee machines, grinders, utensils, counters, and other equipment. * Maintain cleanliness of customer seating and service areas. * Follow all applicable food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements. * Ensure ingredients and food items are stored appropriately. * Dispose of waste properly and follow the café's cleaning schedule. H. Teamwork \& General Duties * Work cooperatively with other café staff, supervisors, and management. * Support other café operations when required. * Maintain punctuality, attendance, professional appearance, and workplace discipline. * Follow all company policies, procedures, and instructions. * Participate in training and continuously improve beverage preparation and customer\-service skills. * Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Café Supervisor or Management. 3\. Requirements * Previous experience as a Barista, Café Server, Waiter/Waitress, or similar hospitality role is preferred. * Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and café operations. * Ability to operate or learn to operate espresso machines and other café equipment. * Good customer service and communication skills. * Basic English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage. * Basic knowledge of POS and cash handling is preferred. * Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment. * Good attention to detail and cleanliness. * Reliable, punctual, and responsible. * Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. * Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to café requirements. 4\.
