**JOB SUMMARY / INTRODUCTION**
The AVP, Credit Lead and Portfolio Governance is responsible for maintaining up\-to\-date MIS reporting and management of CRD portfolio reports, ensuring data quality and integrity across the CRD portfolio, preparing management reports, supporting CRD Policies \& Procedures, and providing robust and accurate data to support senior CRD leadership in the management of NPLs, provisions, interests in suspense, planning and budgeting.
The role is also responsible for portfolio governance activities, management reporting, monitoring of vulnerable accounts, audit support, BCP coordination, RCSA activities, portfolio stress testing, restructuring analysis, financial modelling, credit applications, and management of non\-performing exposures.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Maintain an up\-to\-date MIS reporting \& management of CRD portfolio reports.
* Ensure data quality and integrity in the system and periodic reconciliations are done to maintain consistency across the CRD portfolio.
* Ensure reporting of MIS and other reports are up to standard including presentation of reports.
* Prepare monthly / quarterly reports on CRD accounts for Departments \& higher management review.
* Assist the line manager and team members to maintain CRD Policies \& Procedures.
* Provide robust and accurate data to assist senior CRD leadership to contribute to the management of Bank’s overall NPL, Provision \& Interests in Suspense; forward looking planning, budgeting, etc.
* Take charge of all periodical management reporting.
* Provide accurate and timely data to enable senior members to attend to internal, external, UAECB \& any other audit.
* Maintain accurate and regular data for the monitoring of past due, watch list and provisioning reports.
* Follow up with the team on data collection on a timely basis.
* Monitor closely the bank’s reports including past due, watch list and provisioning reports for potential new cases and flag any early alert or warning sign.
* Act as BCP Coordinator \& RCSA SPOC for the department.
* Analyse existing allocated client loan exposures and provide recommendations for restructuring to avoid default scenarios and identify appropriate strategies for managing exposures.
* Carry out detailed financial modelling and research to support the recommended strategy for resolving difficult lending situations in the best interests of the bank.
* Prepare credit applications containing detailed credit analysis and justifications for the restructuring being recommended.
* Conduct portfolio reviews of vulnerable accounts.
* Conduct portfolio stress testing and quarterly provisioning exercises.
* Assist the CRD Management in adhoc tasks and in the execution of the overall strategy for the team.
* Ensure full cooperation with CRD officers regarding annual Audit/ISO retention requirements in line with MIS requirements.
* Prepare and maintain CRD MIS reports and data presentations for review by departmental and senior management.
* Prepare and review financial models and challenge cash flows.
* Evaluate information memorandums and independent business reviews.
* Review project progress reports and client visit reports.
* Analyse information sources from external advisors.
* Monitor and test restructuring covenants on relevant due dates.
* Monitor payments and repayments.
* Monitor rental income, sales proceeds, share dividends and other income assigned to FAB.
* Process stress tests on sufficiency of current provisioning and propose adjustments where necessary.
* Spread financials on MRA and ensure correct risk rating is reflected in all internal systems.
* Perform ongoing due diligence of security to ensure valuations are up to date and security coverage ratios are maintained.
* Manage NPLs and impairments related to the vulnerable portfolio.
* Monitor and report changes to provisioning requirements.
* Maintain follow\-up and coordination with Legal Department where legal action is pursued.
* Process applications for upgrade and removal from vulnerable portfolio once cases have returned to acceptable healthy status.
* Participate in producing and sharing lessons learned with business and risk teams based on portfolio cases.
* Recommend handover back to Business Unit where appropriate.
**REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS**
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
* Ideally, 1 \- 2 years’ relevant experience in the banking or finance sector.
* Advanced understanding of and ability to read and analyse Corporate Financials.
* Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
* Good interpersonal and analytical skills.
* Strong presentation skills on MIS reporting and ability to objectively identify and analyse data.
* Demonstrated ability in the development and management of reports, portfolio management and control.
* Experience of credit function and support in the management of vulnerable cases.
* Experience in working directly and effectively with independent functions and regulators.
* Demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships and inspire trust in others.
