Associate Public Equities & Fixed Income Research

We are looking for an Associate Public Equities and Fixed Income Research. Job Purpose: We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Equity Associate to join our Doha based Investments Team. The new team member will report to the Portfolio Manager and will assist in the day to day management of the equity investments by conducting research, generating investment ideas and monitoring positions. Specific Accountability: Assist the portfolio manager by providing industry insight, bottom-up fundamental research and actionable stock recommendations using expertise to positively impact performance of the equity investments. Conduct primary and secondary research. Perform complex financial modeling and valuation. Assist in developing investment strategies and build asset-allocation models to maximize performance and manage risk. Generate periodic reports on portfolio performance/ return attribution analysis/ benchmarking. Daily monitoring of portfolio holdings for corporate actions and relevant events; liaise with back office and risk management teams. Preparing material for presentation of investment opportunities and regular updates to management. Develop and sustain frequent contacts with management teams and industry sources utilizing company/industry publications, sell-side analysts, etc to drive insights. Assist with daily trading execution and documentation. A generalist with experience in Equity Research MENA exposure is a plus but not mandatory. Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and strong excel modeling skills. Proven interpersonal skills with ability to work as part of a team and enjoy contributing in a cooperative and entrepreneurial environment. Strong communication skills able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing. Capable of developing independent opinion and defending own views. Experience using Bloomberg. Advanced Excel skills. Post Graduate Degree in a relevant discipline. A CA/CFA is highly desirable. Arabic speaking is a plus, but not necessary.
