Associate Director – Architect (Stadiums)

Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey. **The project:** Mace is providing strategic project management consultancy for major new build stadiums, multiple stadium redevelopments, and wider precinct transformations in Riyadh. The scope includes the delivery of new stadiums, increasing existing stadia capacity, delivering major mixed\-use amenities, and introducing robust knowledge transfer to ensure operational excellence and long\-term sustainability beyond construction. Provides support for the delivery and continuous improvement of the architectural design function, ensuring compliance with business, statutory, legal, and contractual requirements. Supports the leadership, development, and performance of architectural design teams, fostering capability, mobility and effective resource management. **You’ll be responsible for:** * Lead and manage design resources, ensuring delivery of business plan outcomes on time and within budget. • Oversee daily operations and act as the focal point for all design\-related matters. • Present KPIs and management review data to project and leadership teams. • Support business development, work\-winning activities, and training initiatives. • Ensure governance and management systems are adhered to across the project lifecycle. • Influence procurement strategies, contractual frameworks, and drive process improvements. • Collaborate with PMO and stakeholders to ensure coordinated deliverables and technical excellence. • Champion sustainability and net zero carbon goals throughout project delivery. • Lead design delivery aligned with business plan targets and budget. • Guide teams, ensuring stakeholder needs and governance are met. • Present KPIs and support business development initiatives. • Drive collaboration, innovation, and carbon reduction through centre of excellence and reach\-back resources. **You’ll need to have:** * Degree in design or related field. • Chartered membership (e.g., RIBA, CIOB, RICS). • Strong BIM, prefabrication, and design risk expertise. • Sector\-spanning experience with sound technical and safety knowledge. • Proven experience in FIFA stadiums. • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high\-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval. **Our values** **Safety first \- Going home safe and well:** We champion a safe, diverse, and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of well\-being in every team. **Client focus \- Deliver on our promise:** We own the quality of deliverables and strategic outcomes and build long\-term relationships with our clients. **Integrity \- Always do the right thing:** We influence positive outcomes within our industry while always aligning with our compliance obligations. **Create opportunity \- For our people to excel:** We champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.
