Job description

• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including warehousing agreements, freight forwarding contracts, transportation service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and customer SLAs. • Ensure all contracts adhere to relevant legal requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. • Identify legal risks and propose practical, business-oriented solutions. • Provide timely legal advice to operational, commercial, procurement, and senior leadership teams on contract interpretation, liabilities, indemnities, insurance requirements, and dispute-related matters. • Advise on regulatory compliance impacting logistics operations, including transportation regulations, customs compliance, safety standards, data protection, and cross-border trade requirements. • Conduct risk assessments and create mitigation strategies for contract-related exposures. • Partner with business units to understand operational needs and ensure contracts reflect accurate service scopes and responsibilities. • Support commercial teams during customer negotiations, offering legal insight to secure favorable and compliant terms. • Coordinate with external counsel when specialized expertise is required. • Contribute to the development and enhancement of contract templates, legal guidelines, and governance frameworks. • Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to logistics, supply chain, and commercial contracting. • Licensed to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction. • 5-7 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or commercial contracting roles. • Strong knowledge of commercial contract law, liability frameworks, and risk management. • Experience with warehousing, transportation, freight forwarding, or logistics contracts is highly desirable. • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide sound legal judgment under tight timelines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • High attention to detail. • Business acumen and solution-oriented mindset. • Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration. • Integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
